Easy Tilt is the definitive solution to handling the weight of traditional analogue mixing consoles that are built to last. Gone are the days of several men struggling to balance many hundredweight of mixing console onto amplifier racks. Easy Tilt not only gets the console into position quickly and easily, but provides a secure working platform for the desk while it is in use, and then just as easily puts the console back onto its wheels in the flight case when the show is over.

RME MADIface USB

RME MADIface USB 24 Bit/192 KHz, 128 Channel MADI Interface

Features:

- 64 input channels / 64 output channels
- 1 x MADI I/O (optical and coaxial)
- TotalMix
- No external power supply required
- Stand-alone Mode (repeater / format converter)

The MADIface USB is a compact device that provides MADI I/O via USB 2.0 while supporting the format's full 64 channels. Its sturdy and bus-powered design makes it as easy to use as reliable in operation.

MADIface USB is therefore both MADI portability at its best as also a perfect desktop solution to connect MADI equipment to any Mac and PC.

The optical and coaxial input offer RME's Seamless Redundancy operation, switching between the two inputs in real-time if one of the signals fails. The optical and coaxial MADI outputs operate simultaneously. The user can switch between a simple mirrored output mode, or use all four inputs and outputs separately with TotalMix, a low latency 48bit internal mixer and routing matrix. In this extended mode, 128 input signals can be routed and mixed to 128 output channels, but the record/playback functionality to/from the computer stays at 64 channels.

SteadyClock as well as RME's well known MADI compatibility ensure hassle-free operation with other devices.

MIDI over MADI technology may be used to remote-control other MADI devices. DIGICheck, an included complete audio analyzing suite, supports the user under Mac OS X and Windows.

In stand-alone mode the unit automatically operates as repeater, effectively doubling the maximum cable length of 100 m coaxial and 2,000 m optical. As the inputs switch automatically, and both outputs carry the same signal, it also works as active (jitter reducing) optical to coaxial or vice versa converter.

RME MADI 2.0 MADI Router

RME MADI 2.0 MADI Router

Ref: 1001995

MADI Router - Unlimited Flexibility For Multichannel Audio

- 12 Independent MADI ports (4 x optical, 4 x coaxial, 4 x twisted pair)
- Routing of full MADI streams between all ports
- Internal MADI matrices allow the creation of 4 composed MADI streams
- On-screen routing in 8-channel groups
- Redundant power supplies
- Word Clock I/O
- RME redundancy mode support

Overview

Building on the eight year success of the MADI Bridge and the MADI Converter, RME presents a newly designed device that is a worthy successor of both - in fact, its innovative core will redefine and inspire MADI systems for years to come.

The MADI Router is a compact device designed to link MADI devices of any manufacturer with unprecedented flexibility in signal routing. It provides this flexibility by serving as a format converter between optical and electrical signals, as a signal repeater, and as a distributor and merger of several MADI signals, all at the same time. The MADI Router combines many advantages of point-to-point audio connections, such as low latency and fast recovery time from signal line interruptions, with the flexibility of networked audio connections in which any device has access to any channel available on the network of connected devices.

At the simplest level input signals are passed on to the desired output unaltered. This type of connection is beneficial when manufacturers have embedded additional status or remote control data information in the MADI stream.

It is also possible to create new arrangements of audio channels within a MADI output stream. For this purpose four independent matrices are provided, each one reflecting 768 IN x 64 OUT audio channels. Any channel of any valid MADI input stream may be source to each crosspoint matrix. The output of each matrix can then be passed on to any of the 12 MADI Routers output.

Features

The MADI Router is designed to be simple and easy to operate. It is the only MADI routing device on the market that can be completely programmed and controlled without the help of external remote control software. In order to achieve this capability, a TFT display has been integrated on the front panel. It conveniently shows the current state of the device and leads the user through all required settings that are needed to set up a network. User interaction is conducted by four buttons and two rotary encoders surrounding the display.

The complete state of the device is saved with any user interaction (AutoSave) and automatically recalled within ten seconds after the unit is switched back on. Additionally, 15 internal presets let users save and recall, as well as preview and preselect routings.

On its back, the device provides a variety of connectors to achieve maximum compatibility and versatility for a broad range of different use cases. Four optical and four coaxial MADI inputs are accepting MADI signals at any sampling rate and channel format, the outputs carry either a refreshed or one of the four newly created MADI signals over distances of up to 200m (coaxial) or 2000m (optical).

A novelty among RME devices are the MADI TP ports. These four combined in- and outputs bring MADI to common twisted pair network cables that can directly connect MADI TP devices over distances of up to 150m while passing on power along with the MADI signals. The four MADI TP ports provide sufficient power for the AES3 and ADAT Converters.

All twelve MADI ports are completely independent but grouped symmetrically in four sections ‘A’ to ‘D’ for quick identification. A word clock input may be used as reference to any of the four routing matrices or simply be refreshed and passed on to the output. The word clock output can further provide the extracted word clock signal from any of the 12 MADI inputs.

Two redundant 100W switching power supplies provide sufficient power for the MADI Router itself plus up to eight additional passive devices that draw their power from the MADI TP connections. The AC inlets support a locking mechanism that can be used with optional AC power cords.

Or if you really want to push the boundaries, the RME HDSPe MADI FX card can connect to twelve A16 MK-II's for a staggering 192 analogue I/O! Start with one A16 MK-II and an RME MADI interface and you’ll have a system that can grow with you.

On top of this, the A16 MK-II is equipped with two high-resolution TFT screens displaying level meters and clock status, as well as a straightforward front panel menu with input gain, output trim, routing and clock options. Comprehensive remote control software is also available that allows you to configure all these parameters over a MIDI or MIDI-over-MADI connection.

All these features open up a whole host of possibilities. MADI optical cables can be run for up to 2 km between devices and, using the MIDI-over-MADI technology, carry all the necessary control data to adjust the A16 MK-II’s internal settings from a remote computer equipped with an RME MADI interface. You could have an A16 MK-II located in the roof of a theatre, on stage, or simply in your live room – connected with a light and inexpensive MADI fibre cable. Cut down on expensive copper cables and ensure that your converters are as close to the sound source as possible.

Know your Mini-YGDAI cards.

While the Yamaha Mini-YGDAI card offers a huge range of expansion for your digital consoles, there is also a limit to which you can use, which you can't and in some cases which cards you can use with other cards.

In some cases, the configurations might seem a little confusing, with no real guide to show off which cards go with which consoles, or which cards might conflic with each other. Luckily, Yamaha have produced a mini-website dedicated to inform you about your choices.

Take a look over at the Yamaha I/O Card Matching website to find out exactly what you can do with your digital mixing console.
